    How do you make a video like this?

    The easiest way to create a video is to download a program that captures what is going on on your screen. I personally use a mixture of programs, but I guess for a start you should try fraps (www.fraps.com). There is also a freeware version out there. Once installed, go through the manual to get to grips with it.
    Open FS and go to the lowest resolution in full screen mode. Before filming, make sure that the key you have assigned to start the filming isn`t assigned to a command in FS.
    It is a good idea to fly first and then film in instant replay mode. Once you have collected some footage, use any movie editing software to edit what you have. Windows XP users can use the Windows Movie Maker which is a great and easy to use tool. Most of the editing software programs will leave you with a 30 to 65 MB .avi file. You can download the Windows Encoder for free and change the settings of the clip in order to size it down.
    Generally all the editing and filming programs are a bit complex. It would be taking it a bit far to explain everything in detail here. Please read the manuals for tips and hints.

    I get very low frames when filming!

    When you hit the "capture"-key, your computer has to run two very complex programs at the same time. The framerate therefore is bound to drop. Make sure you avoid complicated sceneries and aircraft. Put the sliders down and maybe reduce the visibility. I often film one scene from many different angles and use different settings each time. It is time consuming, but unless you have a super computer that is the only way you will get a stutter free video. The best idea is to put all the sliders right down and slowly increase them. Once you have reached the point where things are not smooth anymore, don`t go further. That should give you an idea where you can leave your sliders when filming.

    In some videos there are spray effects behind the planes when they take off on a wet runway. How do I get that?

    That effect comes with the Project Opensky Boeing 747-400 vers.3. If you download it you will get an effects folder. Copy the contents into the FS effects folder. When the 744 is on the runway simply press "i" and it should work. It works better in FS2002 than in FS2004. I modified the .cfg entry for it slightly so it looks better now.
    Simply copy this into the .cfg file of the plane you want to have the effect with.

    [EFFECTS]
    wake=fx_wake
    water=fx_spray
    dirt=fx_tchdrt
    concrete=fx_sparks
    touchdown=fx_tchdwn320, 1

    [SMOKESYSTEM]
    //Wing condensation
    smoke.2=0, -08.917, -39.167, Opensky_conden
    smoke.3=0, -08.917, 39.167, Opensky_conden

    After restarting FS2004 it should work. Just use the "i" button or whatever you have the smoke system assigned to.

    Where did you get the music from?

    I make all the music myself (unless stated otherwise) using software programs. One good program I can recomend is e jay.

    Where are some of the old clips?

    Due to bandwith restrictions and simply to keep the site at a managable size, clips will be removed after a year or so. Mostly they look dated anyway as I constantly try to progress and improve.
